Walton Hill 8-3 Motspur Park

Walton Hill of Division 2 thrashed Motspur Park by a score of 8-3 in the First Round of the Surrey Cup. The match saw Walton Hill take control from the outset, with Ben Snelling netting a hat-trick, Berkay Eren scoring a brace, and Paul Vogado adding three goals of his own.

Despite conceding eight goals, Motspur Park did manage to find the back of the net on three occasions, with Ed Foxley, Emad Baraka, and Kieron Ackerson all getting on the scoresheet. However, their efforts were not enough to prevent a heavy defeat, their heaviest loss of the season so far.

After the match, Motspur Park manager Ethan Ferrao admitted that his side was outmatched. “Walton Hill were the better team today,” he said. “We sat too deep and created our own defensive problems. We warned the lads that Walton Hill have some top class attacking players and the scoresheet reflects that.”

Motspur Park will have the opportunity to redeem themselves when they face Farleigh Rovers in the next round of the League Cup next Saturday.
