Motspur Park 7-3 Waddon Wanderers

Motspur Park continued their impressive run of form with a resounding 7-3 victory over Waddon Wanderers, securing their fourth consecutive home win.

The match was a reverse of the opening day fixture, which Waddon Wanderers won 5-4. However, Motspur Park were determined to avenge their defeat and put in a dominant performance from the start.

Emad Baraka opened the scoring before Ethan Ferrao netted a hat-trick to double his goal tally for the season. Joe Quick, Dan Rampton and Ed Foxley also chipped in with goals.

Motspur Park were 4-1 up with just 20 minutes remaining, but Waddon Wanderers fought back valiantly in the second half, reducing the deficit to 4-3. However, Motspur Park’s attacking quality shone through in the final stages of the game, as they scored three goals in quick succession to seal the victory.

The win was a much-needed boost for Motspur Park, who have been in excellent form since their defeat to Walton Hill in the Surrey Cup. The team will now look to continue their winning run when they face Wandgas Worcester Park in the next round of the League Cup.

Waddon Wanderers 5-4 Motspur Park

In a thrilling first weekend of the Surrey South Eastern Combination league season, Waddon Wanderers emerged victorious over Motspur Park with a score of 5-4. The match was marred by an unfortunate injury to the Motspur Park goalkeeper seconds before the kick-off, leaving the team without a designated shot-stopper.

Despite the setback, Motspur Park’s replacement goalkeepers put in a valiant effort, but their efforts were not enough to secure a victory. Waddon Wanderers took an early lead, but Belcher’s brace in the 20th minute brought Motspur Park back on level terms.

The latter part of the first half and the opening minutes of the second half saw Waddon re-take the lead and extend their winning margin to three goals.

A backheel from Aiman and a header from Rampton saw Motspur Park come within a one goal deficit but the match ended in a 5-4 loss.

Motspur Park will look to bounce back from this defeat and secure their first victory of the season in their next match.
