Motspur Park Football Club was established in 2014/15 with two youth teams. The 2015/16 season saw the start of the clubs adult setup with a team in the Kingston & District Football League managed by Rob Dean. In the following season the clubs adult setup migrated to the Surrey South Eastern Combination Football League with the advent of two additional teams (the reserves and A team). In the 2020/21 season we started our first veterans team which was composed of coaches and parents from the youth section; this has since been opened up to anyone! The club is now the only FA Charter Standard Community Club in Merton with 31 teams, 2 soccer schools and over 500 active members and volunteers.
In December 2021 the club committee decided to reshape the adult section in the hope of developing a greater synergy between the adult teams in order to progress the clubs ranking and develop each players potential. This has involved rebranding the adult section as a separate entity from the youth setup (howbeit, still very closely linked). This separation will enable a dedicated steering committee to take the adult section forward as the club continues to grow and progress.
